Account and transaction information
As part of the ISO 20022 migration, you will be required to use the formats camt.053 (BankToCustomerStatement for the end-of-day account statement) and camt.052 (BankToCustomerAccountReport for intraday reporting). These formats replace the former formats MT940 (Customer Statement Message for the end-of-day account statement) and MT942 (Interim Transaction Report for intraday reporting).
For your account held at a third-party bank, the third-party bank can send account and transaction information to DZ BANK via SWIFT on your behalf. You can then simply retrieve this information via EBICS.
For your account held at DZ BANK, we can also forward account and transaction information to third-party banks via SWIFT on your behalf.
The new ISO 20022 format (camt.053/camt.052) for account information introduces new structures and data elements. This initially makes implementation more challenging. At the same time, however, it offers potential for a significantly higher degree of automation. This will help you reduce the daily reconciliation activities within your organisation.
Therefore, please make sure your systems are updated in time.
- Review your internal accounting systems
- Update any additional downstream processing systems, where necessary
- Update your booking logic
Use the potential of ISO 20022
In the DK standard you can continue to access both the existing formats (MT940/MT942) and the new formats (camt.053/camt.052, version 08) in parallel via EBICS until 30 November 2026. After that date, we will automatically discontinue the old formats (MT940/MT942).
If you have previously been using an older version of camt.053/camt.052 (version 02) in the DK standard, we automatically upgraded your account to the current version 08 on 15 May 2026.
You can find information on the next steps and the timetable for your account in your account statement.
